Suunto Ocean: Everything you need to know about Suunto dive sports watch

This week saw the release of the Suunto dive sports watch, a dive computer and GPS sports watch from the Finnish sports powerhouse, enhancing diving and sports adventures.

It is created in Finland with 100% renewable energy and a carbon offset that reduces the Suunto Ocean’s footprint to that of driving a combustion engine car for 70 kilometers. It will cost £725 (US pricing to be determined) when it launches in Summer 2024.

That’s a competitive price, putting it square up against its main competition, the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Garmin offers a variety of dive watches, with the Descent G1 priced around $500. However, the Suunto Ocean is comparable to the Garmin Descent MK3, which costs more than $1,000 depending on the options selected.

The Ocean packs a 1.43” AMOLED color display which rivals those found on the likes of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Garmin Epix.
